Valentine's Day & VT

For Valentine's Day, Dad picked up a heart shaped Carvel cake. Mom loves to peek so we had Carla cover her eyes when Dad brought it out :)

The weekend of February 28th, we went up to VT to visit our Uncle & Aunt. Friday night, their son and his wife and daughters came over for dinner.

Can't forget the goofy one :)

Snickers' Friend

The boy that my Mom babysits for loves our dog. The dog doesn't really love him (or any kids for that matter). One time when he was over Mom got these really cute pictures of Nathan mimicking the dogs positions.

Ahhhh....too cute!! :)

Mystery Game

Finally a post without a video! ;) Last week was my spring break...I went to Arizona for a week visiting my great Uncle & Aunt. David, Heather, & Andrea flew down from Illinois. Pictures will be posted at a later date. For now, I'm going to play ketchup catch-up.

Back in January, Leah G had sisters. There was going to be a mystery game but we didn't find out what it was until we got there.

The "mystery game" was similar to the TV show Chopped. You start out with 4 groups and everyone gets a bag with 3 food items in it. With those 3 items you have to make an appetizer. Then the judges get all four appetizers, and judge them on taste, look, and creativity.

I was in the first round. For appetizers, we had crackers, apples, and white chocolate chips. We had 20 minutes to come up with something. This is what I came up with:

The judges (aka the people who didn't want to have to make food :)

I got knocked out the first round, which was ok with me! I'm not very creative with food especially when it's random things. After I got kicked out, the remaining 3 groups had prepare a dinner with the 3 items in the new bags.

Then another group got "chopped" and only 2 groups were left. They had to make a dessert and then the winner was picked. The two desserts:

This was the next round since there were too many people to only do it once.

That day was also Janelle's 16th birthday so they had a cake for her

Opening Credits for the Movie RV

Lately all I have to post are videos! :) I do have pictures to post but I don't have them on my computer yet.

The following video was project #3 for our class. We had to do the opening credits for any movie. Since I don't watch many movies I only had a select few to choose from :) I chose to do it for RV. It's a pretty funny movie where a dad decides he is taking his family camping in a RV. They meet another family and by the end they end up becoming friends. (That is a very simple description of the movie - they have many funny mishaps along the way.)

In the opening credits we had to include elements from the movie. The first RV you see is the one that the main family drives. Before the dad even gets it down the road 20 feet, he runs over a garbage can and knocks both stone lights over at the end of their driveway. The red bus is what the other family drives.

Turn your sound on because my favorite part is when the garbage can gets run over. There's sound to it! :)  You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a metal smashing sound for free online! Took me a while to find one.

Enjoy! :)

And don't forget to watch my CCSU video to give us views!

CCSU - Not Your Typical Business School

Today I'm asking a favor of you...we had to create a video about CCSU's school of business and try and make it go viral for my Social Media Marketing class. So, we have our video made and now need to make it go viral. I'll be honest....it's pretty boring to watch but if you could just click the link and watch it, that would be amazingly nice of you! :) If you're feeling really generous you can click through a couple times. Or you can just refresh the page instead of clicking replay when the video is done.
Thanks so much! :)
