When you have time, watch these.....

In my social media marketing class, my teacher showed us this first video. It's a song that a singer wrote, sang, and posted on YouTube. The reason he showed it is because social media has become very prominent in our culture and it is now a way for consumers to express their feelings. By creating these videos, the singer drew a lot of attention to United and what they did wrong and how they didn't do anything about it. If you have the time watch all three (each video is over 4 minutes long), they are pretty funny!

The Homestretch

Tomorrow I start my last semester of college! Like I told a co-worker today, you gotta start in order to finish, so let's get the ball rolling! ;)

My schedule isn't too bad:
work on Mondays (all day),
2 classes on Tuesday: 8-9:15 & 3:05-4:20 (gotta love a 6 hour break!),
3 classes and work on Thursday: 8-9:15, work, 3:05-4:20, & 4:30-7:10,
and 1 class on Friday: 9:25-1:30.

And I get Wednesdays off! :)

I'm headed to AZ during my spring break. Meeting up with David, Heather, & Andrea at my great uncle and aunt's place. So, when that comes that means the semester is about half over, yippee! :)

Gerber Christmas Round 2

On Christmas Day, any of the Gerbers that didn't have plans went to my Uncle Dale & A. Mare's house. We had a lovely dinner and then did a White Elephant afterwards. I put in a light purple backpack that I don't use anymore, a pink water bottle, and a game that I had gotten for $1 at a FFA Silent Auction. My cousin Brian ended up with it. At first I was feeling kind of bad because all the stuff was kind of girly, but he was thoroughly enjoying his backpack. He walked around with that thing on the whole night! When he was sitting on the couch, it was in front of him on the floor, and if you accidentally stepped on it you heard, "Watch out for the backpack!" :)

I ended up with a box of random old books that my Dad had put in, so he got them back!

After White Elephant, us cousins and one aunt that play instruments, got together and played for a while. Left to right in the photo: Lydia played the clarinet, David the french horn, I was on the piano, Rebekah the flute, A. Mare the violin, Evan the trombone, and Tom on the harmonica.

Our very enthusiastic audience. Looks like Josie was the only one having a good time....
