Christmas Eve we had our Christmas with just the 6 of us. It pretty much lasted the whole day :)
We got up at the early hour of 9 am. ;) Our tradition is to have creamed eggs on toast for breakfast or dinner, depending on when we are doing presents. We ate our brunch around 10:30 and opened presents after.
We open presents 1 at a time, youngest to oldest. Dad wanted Mom to open this present first. Notice where he is sitting and that he has the pillows stacked up to protect himself. :) It was a candle that Mom had in the cupboard that she already used. :)
One of David's presents from Evan. He had cut his finger on a can while making something, hence the big box of band-aids :)
Evan painted this in his art class.
Mom got us these aprons from the Haiti sale.
Gum anyone? ;)
This is the stitching on the middle pocket of mine. It is all hand-stitched by the Haitian ladies!
Can you guess who we got these from?
After presents, we just hung out for a while and played games. Dad had to go feed the neighbors animals, so him, Mom, David, & Carla went for a walk. I went to my aunts house to feed the fish since they are on vacation.
For dinner, everyone had to make an appetizer. We had shrimp, pigs in a blanket, mexican taco dip, hot pepper jelly on cream cheese with crackers, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. Quite healthy! ;)
It was a nice relaxing day!
Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and has a Happy New Year!
