Cape Cod Part 6

The last day was quite the day, I must say! We drove a hour to go to a beach that had bigger waves. By the time we got up there (9:30ish) the parking lot was full. And, the place where we were staying, the owner the called us saying the cleaning lady was going to be there between 12 and 4. So Dad called the cleaning company and found out that the lady would be there around 12:30. So, that meant that we had to turn around and go back home without going to the beach. Before we left, we stopped at this lighthouse. This is one that is on the Cape Cod chip bag.

So, we got back to the house and packed up. Before we left town, we decided to stop at an ice cream shop. I didn't want an ice cream so I got a root beer float. To make a long story short, the root beer float ended up in my lap and on the floor :) After we (or should I say the workers) cleaned up my mess, I changed my clothes and then finished my root beer float.

On the road again...and as you can tell by the picture below it wasn't for long!

We ended up with a flat tire on the van. So...we all got out and the men in the family proceeded to fix the tire.
Our view while getting the tire fixed:

Mom and Carla found a seat on the cooler

And I was bored so I took a lovely photo :)

Our awesome tire

You may need to turn up the volume so you can hear the singing :)

And after they got the tire on, they found out our spare tire was flat also! It just didn't have a hole/rip in it. So, Dad called AAA and they came just a short time later to put more air in it.

After that we were good to go, and got home safely!

The End!

Cape Cod Part 5

It was supposed to be raining so we planned to go the beach the next day. Our plan was to go to the Cape Cod Mall and then come home and relax. Then, that night we would go watch the fireworks.

Well it didn't end up raining at all, but we still went to the mall :) I didn't buy anything but it was still fun to shop in the different stores.

After we got home, we just kind of relaxed, and played around the house. I think Dad, David, & Evan went out to the ocean in the kayaks.

Some of the hydrangea's that lined the driveway

David & Evan playing frisbee in the road and posing for the camera :)

If I remember right, he missed this one but it looks cool :)

The view from our driveway

I was out front "photographing" the boys playing frisbee, when Dad came out and told me that there was a baby rabbit out back eating grass. Since I had my zoom lens on, I just went out there and laid in the grass not very far from it, and got some great pictures!

I really like this one even though it is a little blurry

Fireworks! They were set off of a barge in the ocean

You could pay to go out on this boat to be nice and close to the fireworks

This one is very faint but it is neat. It's closer to the left of the picture

Part of the finale

One more day of Cape Cod pictures!

Cape Cod Part 4

Well that didn't take as long as I thought it would! I figured out a way to keep uploading my photos! YES!! :)

Now that that's taken care of, here are some pictures from our whale watch out of Hyannis.

On our way out to the middle of the ocean!

Not that exciting of a picture, but I thought the clouds were cool :)

We were on the second level of the boat

One of the first whales we saw

A sweet tail picture

Another whale watching boat

This made it the best whale watching ever! (Not that I had ever been on one before) The person who did the talking said that this happens 1/20 times they go out.

Definitely well worth the money spent! If you ever go to Cape Cod you should go on a whale watch.

Mom & Evan didn't want to go on the whale watch so they bombed around Hyannis. They went on a Duckmobile ride.
